Strive to fulfill the goal to minister to all men in our church, as well as those we would like to have join us!

  CAN WE HELP?

"You were put on earth to make a contribution.  You weren’t created just to consume resources...and take up space.  God designed you to make a difference with your life.  While many best-selling books offer advice on how to GET the most out of life, that’s not the reason God made you.  You were created to ADD to life on earth, not just take from it."

– Rick Warren:  The Purpose-Driven Life.

While none of us would likely be this eloquent about it, a group of men from this church has agreed to offer whatever abilities and availability we can muster to provide service to our community, including assistance to our congregants and those outside the church.  Our service might include visiting, hauling, handyman skills, transportation, caregiver respite, and probably things we haven’t yet thought of.

We ask two things of you:

  1. If you need assistance of some kind, or know of someone who does, call the church office with as much information as you can.  Leave a name and phone number.  We would prefer tasks that can be completed in a day or less, but will at least consider practically anything.

  2. If you are a man reading this and would like to be a part of this BGCUMC' "fire brigade", let Doug know at 686-0868.  Strength of back or mind is NOT a prerequisite; if you want to contribute to this small piece of the resurgence of masculinity in the church, with God’s help we can find your niche.
