are involved in many projects, have wonderful fellowship, and support a
variety of community and church sponsored events. We are active in
supporting the YWCA Women's Shelter, Seafarer's Center, and missionary, Paul
Jeffrey, as well as sponsoring an annual rummage sale, "get-togethers" and
retreats for women of all ages. For more information about our
projects and missions, please contact Sylvia, President of BGUMW at 263-5708.

TRINITY
CIRCLE meets every third Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the
church.

We support the YWCA Women's Shelter, do a variety of handwork
projects for our church, and enjoy fellowship with each other. Some of
our projects include sewing quilts for babies, lap quilts for elderly
shut-ins, and banners for the church. We have been known to go on
"field trips" to explore new fabric and yarn shops! Anyone is welcome
to join us...just bring your own coffee cup!
Contact person: Jan, 686-0868.

THE
SOUL-O'S GROUP - Although
not a Circle of the United Methodist
Women, these ladies serve a very important mission in our church. This
group provides a wonderful fellowship and support system for women who are
single, divorced, widowed, or for other reasons alone in life. The
Soul-O's get together on the first Sunday of every month at 11:00 a.m. for
lunch, an outing in the
community, or both! Please contact Linda at 687-4512 for more
information.
Do
you need an evening to get together for
fellowship, companionship, and
sharing? Monday
evenings at 7:00 p.m. is your opportunity to take time and be responsible to
only yourself! Perhaps you have a
craft project to work on, perhaps
not. Either way, please join us for some time together. Feel free to bring
books or
crossword puzzles, pictures, anything that you would love to spend some time
on in the company of your female friends. See you
there!

The emblem for the United Methodist Church combines the Cross and a
Flame, symbolizing the Holy Spirit. The Cross and Flame are
the ancient symbols of the Church, dating back to the days of Christ
and Pentecost. Each evokes images of sacrifice, witness, and
service obligations of discipleship. The shape of the emblem
is likewise symbolic. It is fluid and free flowing, suggesting
change and mobility. The Cross, the Flame -- the individual
with her abilities and opportunities -- all are elements of a 21st
century movement for United Methodist Women.
